The De Wetshof Sauvignon Blanc is soft with mild acids allowing fresh tropical flavours to come to the fore. Hints of green and ripe figs are present and the finish is crisp with a lasting clean minerality. The De Wetshof sauvignon Blanc is picked in the cool early morning which helps the wine to develop both tropical and fresh crisp flavours while maintaining a lower acidity.
Once the De Wetshof Sauvignon Blanc wine has finished its fermentation the wine is kept on the fine lees at a low temperature in order to gain more complexity.
De Wetshof is a third generation wine estate in South Africa’s Robertson Valley, where wine has been made for over 150 years.
