To us, creating Gin is not just about the handpicked botanicals, or our custom designed copper still, or the molecular technology we use to protect the delicate flowers used in the Gin. It is about waking up every day and loving what we do. It’s about setting out to make the finest gin we can, one batch at a time. It is about creating something extraordinary. The emphasis on quality production has yielded increasing accolades such as Veritas Awards Double Gold for Rooiberg Pinotage Reserve and Top Ten Pinotage listings1997, 2003, 2013 and 2016, and a Shiraz SA Top12 in 2013. Recent awards also include Top 100 listing (Double Platinum) for Rooiberg Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2014 and Rooiberg Pinotage Reserve 2014, as well as a Grand Cru for “best in class” for the latter wine, all in the National Wine Challenge 2016.
