The Robertson Wine Valley is part of the largest wine producing region in South Africa – the Cape Winelands. It lies on the longest wine route in the world! This scenic route along lush green vineyards and fruit farms includes the towns Ashton, Robertson and Bonnievale. Platform 62 Wine Boutique can be found in Ashton in the Main road next to the steam train. Platform 62 offers an exciting wine experience to all visitors to the region.
The Robertson Wine Valley has low rainfall and fairly mild weather conditions but includes hot dry days and cold nights.  There is occasionally snow on the peaks of the Langeberg Mountains during August and September. The Robertson Wine Valley has 48.7 million vines, produces 199 000 tons of wine grapes. The area would not be able to grow grapes if it were not for the Breede River. The river runs through the valley turning it into a beautiful green landscape.
Robertson Wine Valley was formed in 1983 and represents more than 50 wineries producing outstanding wines. With global appeal for all who appreciate the best wine. The innovation, commitment and pride of  winemakers results in the production of outstanding wines. Which can be enjoyed at any occasion. Most of the wines that have received awards both local and international are represented at Platform 62 Wine Boutique in Ashton.
