Incredible rich black red colour-superb balance. Concentrated dense fruit, great complexity for a 2015 and it is just so drinkable already. It is a wine which want to be tasted again and again. Good but not overwhelming concentration of wood with lots of black and red cherry and nice hints of tobacco. Nice, elegant tannins makes this wine perfectly nice and firm. Rietvallei JMB Cabernet Franc is a 100% cultivar wine. It is a full-bodied, complex wine with excellent fruit and wood integration. Lots of work in the vineyard and minimal interference in the cellar allows this wine to express its terroir to the fullest. Deep ruby red, almost black in colour. Expressive aromas of black current, plums, pencil shavings and spicy tasted oak on the nose. On the palate, the black current and plum flavours persist, backed and well complimented by the toasty oak flavours from the 26-month new oak aging. The tannins are sumptuous making this is a well-rounded wine which is showing beautifully now in its youth but which has the structure and fruit to mature for a good 10+ years.R350.00
Our Shiraz is yet another delicious wine in the pod of FAT bastards that we simply know youâ€™ll love. Itâ€™s made from carefully selected grapes with the aim to produce a wine with pure fruit character. All fruit is gently pressed to retain fruit aromas.
The wine is aged in small oak barrels, which adds greater weight and complexity to the finished product. This full-bodied wine shows freshly crushed black pepper aromas with hints of cinnamon and cloves on the nose with lots of brambly red berry fruit and well-integrated vanilla tones.
