    Robertson Winery Merlot

  • Fat Bastard Pinotage is also aged in small oak barrels for 22 months to add greater weight and complexity.

    Pinotage, a truly South African grape, originated from a cross between Pinot Noir and Hermitage. This wine shows rich aromas of ripe plum and banana with a lingering impression of chocolate and plum pudding.

    However, all you need to know is that it’s an absolute blast to enjoy.

  • It is made from carefully selected grapes with the aim to produce a ripe-flavoured and silky textured wine. All fruit is gently pressed to retain fruit aromas and character.

    The wine is aged in small oak barrels, adding greater weight and complexity. With a deep ruby hue, our Merlot boasts aromas of ripe berries leading to a juicy palate of summer fruits and black cherry with soft, rounded tannins to finish.

    The wine was harvested at optimum flavour from a selection of vineyards. Keeping the fruit separate throughout fermentation, wines were produced with varying flavours and palate weight allowing a diverse choice when it came to blending.


    Ruby Cabernet is a single variety developed in California from a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon with Carignan. Deep in colour, medium-bodied and rich in flavour with very soft tannins which make the wine approachable within just a couple of months after the vintage. Complements beef roast, chicken roast, stews, lamb, venison, pasta and steak.

  • Through the wizardry of fermentation, our Barista Pinotage derives its rich aroma and flavour of coffee from French oak and carefully-chosen and harvested grapes.

    The term “barista” refers to people who specialise in making espresso-based coffees, so calling our unique Coffee Pinotage “Barista” makes perfect sense.

    Roodezandt Keizers Creek The Red

  • A sensational flavour affirms the very best food enhancing characteristics of this luscious Shiraz grape. Oak matured to produce a silky, velvety mouth-feel with a slightly spicy feeling on the swallow. Distinctive pepper tones with underlying berry and liquorice flavours balanced with detectable but fine tannins. A sheer, dining delight. The grapes were handpicked.

    Lords Shiraz

  • The soft, velvety cherry and earthy flavours on the nose of this wine lingers on the palate. Smooth tannins through careful oak maturation make this a well balanced wine. The grapes were handpicked. A difficult vine to grow, but ideally suited to the lime-rich soil of the Lords terroir.

    Lords Pinot Noir

  • On the nose you willl encounter whiffs of fresh cassis, black plums, violets and fruitcake, while the palate boasts flavours of succulent berry fruits and plum pudding, supported by spice and cedar wood. The result is a medium structured wine with elegant ripe tannins on the finish.

  • This Bordeaux-style wine captures the essence of one of the worlds great classical red cultivars to create a wine of elegance, power and individuality. The soil, sun and aspect of De Wetshof allows the wine to express freshness, power, elegance and a delicate plushness. Here intense dark berries, bittersweet chocolate and pencil shavings abound, while palate weight, depth of presence and a lasting finish enhance the experience of drinking a red wine of substance and pedigree.

  • As for all our wines, the grapes for the Shiraz 2009 were hand selected to ensure optimal ripeness and flavours. The grapes were destalked and cooled down for 24 hours before fermentation. We ferment our red wines in open-tanks to give the wine the perfect balance between tannins, flavours and colour. This wine were aged for 24 months in a combination of 2/3 French oak and 1/3 American oak Barrels which leads to total elegance with a bit of dominant aromas.

  • An accessible well balanced Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blend with soft and ripe tannins. The typical Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics of juicy black berries, ripe red berries and mint undertones are paired well with the Shiraz’s pepper and spice to create a rich medium bodied wine.

  • This full-bodied red wine holds aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and spices from ten months in wood. Sweetish and richly textured on the palate with good supple, dry tannins, ending in a long-lasting, savoury finish.
