GRAPES: Touriga Nacional 46% Souzao 46% Tinta Barocca 8%
The wine is full bodied with a sweet nose of red and darker summer berries and red fruits. The wine was made to be enjoyed at release, but should improve with age for up to 7 years after release. The wine is ideal to be enjoyed on its own in winter or slightly chilled during summer evenings and will go well with charcuterie, breads and hard cheeses, meat stews or barbecues.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional in perfect harmony. Opulent plums and black cherries with cigar box and vanilla spicing. Matured for 24 months in new oak. Vibrant, elegant, already showing silky accessibility but with a long life ahead.
2 years new barrel maturation, 4 years bottle maturation. No crushing of berries, no yeast but that from their skins, no fining- additives and no filters. Wine made by itself, kept for two years in the best new French-oak barrels, fit for this wonder. It is a piece of our history, our passion, labour and luck we were selling. It is our finest expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the best we can do. Will age for another 15-20 years.
